Objection to direct marketing: Where data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation; in the case of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time without giving reasons.

HOSTING

This website is hosted with Webflow. The provider is Webflow, Inc., 398 11th Street, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. On our behalf, Webflow processes, among other things, the access data your browser automatically transmits when you open the website (see Server Log Files). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing our online offering securely & efficiently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); where consent is requested, processing takes place solely on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. A data processing agreement is in place with Webflow. For transfers to the USA, see the section "International Data Transfers".

SERVER LOG FILES

When you access the website, information your browser transmits is automatically collected: browser type & version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing device, time of the server request & the IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources & serves the technical delivery, security & stability of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

COOKIES & CONSENT MANAGEMENT

Our website uses cookies & comparable technologies. Technically necessary cookies are set on the basis of Section 25(2) TDDDG & Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. All non-essential technologies (in particular analytics & marketing services) are only loaded after your explicit consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

To obtain & manage your consent, we use the consent management tool Usercentrics Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S / Usercentrics GmbH). The tool blocks consent-requiring services until you agree & stores your consent decision (including anonymized IP, consent status & timestamp) as proof. The legal basis is our legal obligation to document consent (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) & our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can adjust or withdraw your settings at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

GETTING IN TOUCH

If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone, we process the details you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, message) to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The contact form is provided & processed via Webflow Forms (Webflow, Inc., USA). Our business email communication runs through Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland). Your data remains with us until the purpose of storage no longer applies or you request its deletion; mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

APPOINTMENT BOOKING

To book appointments (e.g. your Free Vision Call) we use Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc., USA). When booking, you provide data such as your name, email address & the requested time, which is used to organize & run the appointment. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures). For transfers to the USA, see the section "International Data Transfers".

WEB ANALYTICS: GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4

Subject to your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Ltd. (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google Analytics uses cookies & similar technologies to analyze your usage behaviour (e.g. pages visited, time on site, approximate location, device information) on a pseudonymized basis, so we can evaluate the reach & use of our website. Your IP address is processed by Google in truncated form. The legal basis is solely your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time. Integration takes place via Google Consent Mode v2.

META PIXEL

Subject to your consent, we use the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland). This allows us to track the behaviour of visitors after they reach our website by clicking a Meta ad, to measure the effectiveness of our ads & to build audiences for advertising (remarketing). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Meta is a joint controller with us for part of this processing.

GOOGLE ADS & REMARKETING

Subject to your consent, we use Google Ads with conversion tracking & remarketing (Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland). This lets us measure the success of our ads & re-engage website visitors later with relevant advertising. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG).

LINKEDIN INSIGHT TAG

Subject to your consent, we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Ireland) for analytics & remarketing within our LinkedIn advertising. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG).

TIKTOK PIXEL

Subject to your consent, we use the TikTok Pixel (TikTok Technology Ltd., Ireland) for measurement & remarketing within our TikTok advertising. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG).

GOOGLE FONTS

This website loads fonts externally from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.). When you open a page, your browser loads the fonts from a Google server, transmitting your IP address to Google. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent & appealing presentation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); where consent is requested, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

YOUTUBE

Subject to your consent, we embed videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.). We use the extended data protection mode ("youtube-nocookie"), so that YouTube only processes data such as your IP address & device information when you play a video. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG).

GOOGLE MAPS

Subject to your consent, we embed map material from Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd.). When the map loads, data such as your IP address &, where applicable, your location is transmitted to Google. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG).

NEWSLETTER (KLAVIYO)

To send our newsletter we use Klaviyo (Klaviyo, Inc., USA). Sign-up follows the double opt-in process: after you register, you receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. We process your email address & any other details you voluntarily provide in order to send you news & offers & to evaluate newsletter usage (e.g. open & click rates). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter. For transfers to the USA, see the section "International Data Transfers".

SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS

Our website links to our profiles on Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X & Youtube.
These are simple links - merely viewing our website does not transfer any data to these platforms. Only when you click a link do you reach the respective platform, whose privacy terms then apply.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Some of the services we use have parent companies or servers in the USA (including Webflow, Google, Meta, Cal.com & Klaviyo). This may involve transfers of personal data to the USA. Where providers are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), transfers take place on that basis; in addition or otherwise, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). The USA may not offer a level of data protection comparable to the EU, in particular with regard to potential access by authorities.

SSL/TLS ENCRYPTION

For security reasons & to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" in your browser's address bar.
